i have a phone that's getting replaced tomorrow and wondered if i had to give the old phone box and charger when i got the other phone

You'll just need to hand over the phone itself, no accessories.

How and by whom is your phone being replaced?
The usual rule of thumb would be to only handover any equipment that is replaced. I doubt anyone will want your original box.

ee are replacing it due to it braking while under warranty and it's a trade off with the courier so I'm assuming it'll just be the phone and charger
