Unlocking i pad from EE

Tried getting ipad unlocked from EE put emei in saying its not on their network any ideas

@Steve077 : If EE are saying it's not on their network, it's not locked to EE. Where & when did you buy it?

Hi thanks for reply. Wife bought for me must be about 5 years ago maybe more. This it was fromm Apple store or maybe jhon Lewis
