I have a 4g ptz solar camera, I also have a 4gee sim with an un limited contract which I was using for our home broad band. I've tried using this sim card in the ptz camera but it won't connect. Is the sim capable of providing 4g for the camera. If so are there any certain things I should make sure are applied to the sim card before using it. The ptz camera currently won't connect to the network using this sim..?? Help!!!

Any joy fixing this problem? I have a similar issue I think. I have a ptz 4g camera I'm trying to connect to 4g via a sim card I was using for my home Internet.. thought it should work but doesn't seem to be seeing the sim.. blue and red light flashes fast. Does it need a mobile sim I wonder?

@Gazzaar : Any 4G SIM with a data allowance should work, whether it is a data SIM as I presume you have been using or a phone SIM.

@Gazzaar Unfortunately, EE mobile network uses Carrier Grade NAT (CGNAT), which means that you don't get your own public IP address but a shared IP with many, many users, So the only two options that i can think is
1) Do you have a option for a Wireless Broadband provider? I'm guessing is that your using an 4G IP Camera incase of a emergency's i.e broadband offline?
2) If no, Either EE or BT Fibre Broadband connection as this will give you 9.5Mbps *up to" upload speed with no NAT restriction and also plenty of upload speeds for your 4G IP Camera, I wont recommend getting standard ADSL2 as this can range in 150Kbps to 1.3Mb just depends how fair your away from your BT cabinet
