Mobile phone settings

My son has a mobile phone on my account.  Last month he "mislaid" the phone, (its a long story!) but when he got it back someone had been tampering with it and he has lost some of his apps amongst other things that had been done,  is it possible to do a system restore to a an earlier date on a mobile phone like you can on a pc?

Unfortunately not.  Once you wipe the phone that's the data gone.  Did he back it up before whatever happened?

The security & backups you are seeking, are all user-customisable, so it depends what your son had setup.

A SIM PIN controls use of the SIM when first powered up in a phone. A device PIN protects the device from unauthorised use regardless of SIM - did he have a device PIN?

Apple & Android phones have remote locking/unlocking facilities, but these need to be setup in advance - did your son have either of these?

There shouldn't be any reason your son can't just reinstall any deleted apps.
