Unplug the leads, put it in the bag, take it to the Post office and get it scanned. Include the remote and the HDMI lead if it was included. I don't think aerial leads were.

I can't get down to it as I have mobility problems but when my sister comes if I  tell her to just unplug it from everything will it not upset the internet connection  or the EE TV Box as well?

I know I sound thick

Oh, I’m sorry Bee, I’d assumed the BT Pro was a TV box, like mine. If you have a separate EE TV Pro box I’m confused as to what it is you have to return.

I have to send back a bt 4k tv box

I got my bt internet and tv changed to EE yesterday we put the new EE TELLY BOX  on top of the Bt telly box because we didn't know how to dismantle the BT one

Then I got a bag today to say send the BT one back I looked it up and if I don't send it back they will charge me £115 pounds for it!

What a nightmare

Oh tell me Bee. I rue the day when I gave them the opportunity to move me to EE. That aside, I just kept my old BT TV box (the logo light changed to the EE colour ages ago) and it works just the same, so puzzled why they sent you a new one.

Not to worry. The old one doesn’t have to go back immediately. You’ve a bit of time - the letter should say. The charge is to incentivise you 😉

When your sister comes, ask her to remove the power and other cables from the old box, leaving the cables undisturbed on the new box.
If either of you are in any doubt, and you’re able to, posting pics here help fellow users to visualise what you’ve got.

Thank you very much for that Minkey it is very reassuring

I went from Bt to EE because I have been with Bt for over 30 years and everything went fairly well with then but EE seem to want the customer to be able to do anything a expert can do

I just want a phone internet and telly I can switch on and it works and to know how much things will cost before I ring up about them a Price List would be a great help

Bee, I was paying the GPO for a landline before BT even came into being! I

It's all geared up to phone calls and no paperwork these days. Not an improvement in my view. Even these customer forums. They're designed to elicit free help between customers. Cheaper than actual having the service channels which suit the customer best. Someone was saying even the shops are about sales, not CS!

Take it step by step. I still don't know why they've sent you a new TV box, but no worries. Ask your sister to look at where the cables go, and go slowly. If you can take a pic, or pics, and think it'll help, you can post it here via the "image" icon. It looks like a little mountain on my iPhone, or a little camera on my tablet.

Good luck.
