Does anyone know how to change to linux distro on a EE tv box?

So I like tech and was given a old EE tv box but the service is discontinued and i want to be able to use the EE tv box as a pc but i cant do that until i change the linux distro on it. So does anyone know how to like get into a boot loader or a debug menu on the EE tv box?
