BT Sport buffering when cast to tv

I've used the BT Sport app and Chromecast to watch Rugby for several years, but having tried to watch the start of the season matches this weekend the picture and sound is continually buffering. I've tried everything I know to remedy the problem to no avail. Anyone got a solution please.

@Rams4   Did you try lowering the quality of the stream say from 1080 to 720 ? That’s basically all you can do.
