As my status of my duo had changed to: Due to the popularity of the iPhone Duo, fulfilment of stock may take longer than normal. Thank you for your patience. We will contact you when we have an update.

i decided to call ee as my order was placed on pre order day by 13:20 but had the dreaded there is an issue and we need more information.  The agent I spoke to on Saturday then cancelled my original order and placed a new one instead of fixing the original order which would have retained my place in the queue.

on the phone now been told that anyone that hasn’t received their device yet will be waiting until January!

@boosterbosch   Not knowing why your original order couldn’t be amended and a new order having to be placed. It’s also out of EEs control on when and how many they get from Apple.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 150 from any other phone.

You’re completely missing the point. We’re not asking for EE to magic us up a device they don’t have, we’re asking why we’re being punished with a wait until January when our orders were actually placed minutes after pre-order, while others who waited hours have their devices already.

Not our fault EE couldn’t be bothered to process our orders so why are we getting the raw end?

I placed initial order early on pre order day. I called them later on as it completed but i never received confirmation. The person i spoke to said they couldn’t find the order. Shortly after i received an email. I called them again and they said even though i had the order number it hasn’t gone through. Glitch! So i was told to place the order again. The bloke stayed on the phone while i did it cause he wanted to check at their end it was ok. This time it went through and he could see it. He said it happened to a few people who tried to place really early and all he could do is apologise

i called them a week later as people had started receiving them and i was told when my order was place it was 3 weeks timescales. By the time my order was successfully processed (a day later for some bizarre reason) timescales were 28 days. Now they are over 28 days and the internet is showing January for lead times

what makes matters worse is the fact that someone who ordered a full day after me. Same model, capacity and colour already had their dpd text to say it’s on its way. That annoyed me and confused me somewhat because i would have thought they would have a list and be despatching in order.

no update on my tracking page. No further feedback. If o hadn’t have held the device in Currys i would have cancelled the order. And waited into next year. But i do kind of like it. So I’m holding my place in the queue
