Waiting for device I would like to return

Hello, I ordered an IPhone 16 to be delivered to my local store last Friday, I am waiting for it to be delivered but I am also wanting to return it once it arrives. I haven’t heard anything about the delivery but is there any way to cancel it so it doesn’t get delivered at all, rather than wait and then return it.

@NathanF981  you get the standard 14 day cooling of period after you get the device to cal call customer support to inform them you do t want the device.   But you could try calling customer support now to see if you can cancel the order in case it hasn’t yet been dispatched to the store.
