Verification PINs during online purchase not going through

I upgraded to a new phone online today and I successfully received a verification PIN to my phone's number. I also tried to upgrade to a new tablet and smartwatch today, but the verification PINs didn’t go through to the numbers of my current tablet and smartwatch. Has anyone else had this issue?

To give an update, I would like to give a special mention to Inna, Jess and Craig in my Twitter DMs for helping me upgrade to my new iPad mini and Apple Watch Series 8. Both items arrived today - a day earlier than I expected them to.
