Upgraded to SIM only, haven't received anything yet

Hi, my 24 month contract ended on the 30th July 2022 but I forgot about it for a few days.
When I remembered a few days later on the 6th of August 2022 I ordered a SIM only 24 month contract, I shortly got an e-mail confirming my order with an order number and it saying "Your order’s on its way".
It is now the 18th of August 2022 and I still haven't got a SIM card from the mail, an email about the order or a text so I am confused about what is happening.
When I log into my EE account it still tells me I am ready to upgrade which is strange considering I already ordered an upgrade, when I try to track my order it says "Sorry, we can't show your order details right now." which I would have accepted 2-3 days after placing my order but not a whole 2 weeks later.
With my order being after my allowances restarted, will I have to wait until the next allowance restart which is on the 26th August 2022? Or am I misunderstanding something and when I go SIM only it upgrades my current SIM card and will not be receiving a new one in the mail.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You're correct in saying you won't need a new SIM when upgrading. As your account shows you're still eligible to upgrade, there may have been an issue with your order.
Please get in touch with Customer Care so a member of the team can take a look at your account.

You're correct in saying you won't need a new SIM when upgrading. As your account shows you're still eligible to upgrade, there may have been an issue with your order.
