Upgrade, no order number

Upgraded my previous watch contract to the new black ultra 2 back on the 20th of Sept. I have a confirmation email and money has been taken however I have received no order number within that email or any other communication. Is this normal practice for upgrades?
The change in contract doesn’t appear on my ee, it’s states upgrading is N/A which is the only thing I can go by to be sure it was actually processed I guess? I did pay a small upgrade fee and all it tells me is that my account is in credit and the upgrade fee will be taken off my next bill. So does that mean I’ll be charged a second time as I’m two month away from the actual end of contract.
You’d think that by now we would be on top of all this after so many years of “being voted the best” or whatever.

Thank my next bill will be produced on the 16th, at the moment there’s no
changes to anything so will check again when it happens.
I did chose the large Milanese strap and I’m aware there’s a lengthy lead
time due to non-existent stock levels, I’m not bothered about that really.
I just want to be sure the upgrade has actually registered and that it’s
okay that I don’t have an actual order number yet.

The best way for us to get this checked would be by giving us a call so our customer care team can ensure your order has been processed.
It sounds like it has to me, but the team should be able to provide you with an order number and some reassurance.
