Trying to upgrade sim only .

Trying to upgrade sim only Via app and I get message sim will be additional to existing sim contract . 
This I do not want. 
when trying on the website I cannot upgrade as the website still says I have “ee one discount of £20” this I know does not apply as did not follow through on broadband . 
“ee one discount of £20” does not show on the app  which os correct , any help appreciated
