Tracking number unrecognised by Evri

I'm waiting a delivery of a new modem and EE emailed me with the tracking number.  But with that tracking number, Evri keeps saying 'We do not recognize this as a valid Evri tracking number. Please check and try again.'

On this forum, I saw the alphabet characters and numbers are sometimes mixed up (for example, the number "0" is wrongly used instead of alphabet character "O"). My tracking number is 16 figures and it starts with "T07". Could you please let me know the structure of the tracking number? Does the tracking number take the below structure?

(alphabet character)(number)(number)(alphabet character)(number)(alphabet character)(number)(number)(number)(number)(number)(number)(number)(number)(number)(number)

My EE delivery by Evri also began with T07 and followed the same sequence of letters & numbers as yours.

Quite often I find that the number is generated before Evri (or any other delivery service) has time to link it to their system. It happens a lot to Royal Mail too.

If you give it a few more hours, or perhaps wait until tomorrow, you will probably find that it will be available.

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. I received an email from EE on Saturday, but my tracking number is still not working today, so I started worrying. I will wait for a while.

Also, as you pointed out, the number zero & the letter O can sometimes get mixed up. So I always copy & paste the tracking number from the email to make sure it's the exact number required.
