Status of Store Sales Systems

I visited an EE store yesterday with the intention of leaving with a new phone to replace my Saddroid special which has decided it doesn't want to play phones any more. No problem getting to chat with an advisor who was helpful if a little dry. Problem was the EE sales system had decide it didn't want to play (perhaps it had come out in sympathy with my phone and joined the Smartphone lives mater movement). Anyway i left with a quote and decided to try again later..... A few hours later..... I was passing another EE store and decided to drop in and see if they were "back in business".... A very nice young lady took up my case but came back with a completely different price  for the same phone and same contract. I asked why it was so different and she said it was because EE have different systems for calculating deals.... ????? Duh??? Also with the system she had access too, I count get the phone over 36 months only 24 which would put the monthly cost well over my budget. Furthermore, I couldn't get the model I wanted as she would have to order it and it would take a couple of days (no big deal as I understand that stores don't always stock every iteration of model, colour and RAM options. I accept that from time to time software systems break down and gremlins play but you would think either system would be capable of arriving at the same contract for the same price or there would be a way for the sales operatives to override things and honour the lower quote. How many sales did EE lose yesterday because they don't appear to have a contingency plan I wonder?

Hi @Frank1958

EE will be ok I am sure.

As for your quotes without comparing and considering if there was any store specific discount or offer it is not possible to answer why you have two different prices.

Thanks
