Did you mean:

Scam? Yes, EE, u ARE a SCAM.. I am not the only "customer" trying to buy...

dazzer169
Explorer

...one off payment an NREAL AIR.

Finally got through your registration process, painful.

Then tells me I need to "add an account" or "join the EE Community".

Did the EE Community bit...........but STILL nowhere to go once at that stage, so go back to the NREAL AIR buy it as a one off page and it asks me to login again, and then I get  "add an account" or "join the EE Community" again.

EE, sort this out, do you REALLY want to sell these glasses??

I phoned up, then got told I need to have a mobile Sim card AT LEAST before I can buy the glasses, which is also B*ll**bleep**, nowhere else does it mention this.

SO MANY COMPANIES of late seemingly happy to take the ****, because your support phone people telling me I need at least a Sim card means I am being forced into an EE contract.   The sheer fact the webpage tells me I can buy them as a one off payment proves this contract nonsense is exactly that...................nonce ense.

There are details had you bothered to read them:

Who are you?

I AM TRYING TO DO THE ONE OFF PURCHASE AS PER :--

https://shop.ee.co.uk/accessories/pay-now/atp-nreal-air-smart-glasses/details

All I wanted was to have an option to buy, not be forced the contract route...and even then, the website doesnt even try that other than do as per my attachment here, clearly its asking me to add a device or broadband which ALREADY is EE which it cannot.

If EE dont want new customers or to actually sell something, good luck to them.'You still need to add an account...........'.jpg

Shambles.

Why did NREAL AIR go with EE?    Makes no sense.    Ebay for the Japan version is the only method left now until EE sort this out.

Yes, and if you scroll down you will find you can't do that unless you already have an account.

There is no need to be rude or to swear, this is a public forum where people can come for advice.

@dazzer169 if you’re not an EE customer then you cannot use the online store you can only purchase these outright from an EE store.    The online store is only for EE customers even to purchase outright.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Account?    Well EE should have people with good English creating the website, because an account can be as I already have, just a basic registered account.

So I tick that box.

If Account in this case means a "Contract", then look at those 2 words.

One is Account, the other is Contract.

Livechat are sorting me anyway, they have admitted its a mess, because a new customer should NOT have to go through all this, with livechat having to now inform my local store that I am visiting tomorrow, without a contract, to place an order for an NREAL AIR.

For anyone wondering why I didnt just contact my local store, I have good news for you in that I contacted 2 of my local stores earlier, this morning.

One shop, the guy thought NREAL AIR were trainers.    I gave up on him, phoned the other one, and the guy made it strictly clear..................that NREAL AIR can only be ordered online.

So any of you on here trying to help me, genuine thanks to you all, but I can guarantee none of those who criticised me have gone the NREAL AIR route yet, its as if EE want nothing to do with it.

Either that or better training required maybe.

The livechat guy I have right noiw has been brilliant though, and has had to set me up with a specially lined up store visit tomorrow where they will have pre-notice that they need to set up a sale for me.

Absolute mess.

@dazzer169 : You cannot buy an accessory online unless you already have a mobile phone or SIM contract from EE. You are expected to pay for it along with your existing EE mobile plan. That's why it's telling you to login to upgrade your existing plan or add another device. You have neither of these.

However you may buy these glasses from an EE Store. If you read further down on the page you linked you will see:

If you’re currently not an EE customer, you can still purchase the Nreal Air AR Glasses through one of our retail storesFind you nearest store.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

It clearly states if yre not a EE customer than you have to buy from a EE store and not online.

@dazzer169 , this is a public forum and we are customers here trying to help, there is no need for rudness, and if you behave like this over the phone or in a store, you will not get the help you want.

EE are perfectly entitled to only offer outright payment to their customers, unlike you, who is not a customer, that is the benefit of being a customer. Sorry, if you cannot get the item elsewhere, they are  not scammers and it is not a scam.

Maybe, one day you will be able to buy them outright elsewhere, you obviously have enough money to pay for it, lucky you, even if you cannot get it right now, like you wish to do so.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
