Just had my parcel delivered to discover a different phone, called ee today and they told me DPD must have made an error as the IMEI number for the wrong phone was with sky, im in dire need of a phone and now they’re saying until it’s resolved I cannot get a phone out with them

Have you checked the DPD tracker to see if the order is delivered.
Is the address on the packet your address.

@Luk3tj1 , if you are in dire need of a phone in the meantime, you could look at getting a basic phone and put your SIM card in it, until it is all resolved.

Welcome to the community.
I'm disappointed to hear that you've had an issue with the delivery. Our Customer Support team should be able to start an investigation with DPD. If the person you spoke with didn't mention doing this, I recommend calling again to discuss it further.
If you're not happy with how things are progressing down that route, I suggest opening a complaint using our online web form.
Hope it's sorted soon for you. Keep us updated with what happens please.
