Reasonable adjustment request: unable to complete EE Finance credit check

flyinggoatman

I’m disabled and I have never worked, so I do not have an employment start date to enter on the credit check form.

I was told I cannot sort this out by phone because staff said they cannot apply the disability discount code on their system. That means the only route I have been given is a form that I cannot fully answer truthfully.

That seems really strange to me. To get a disability discount, I am being asked to complete a form that some disabled people simply cannot answer honestly because the information does not exist for them.

I do not want to enter false information on a credit application. I want to do this properly.

Can you please tell me how I should complete this truthfully, or offer another way for me to apply as a reasonable adjustment while still maintaining the discount for those with a disability. I'm in the middle of possibly changing my mind and trying another provider.

Hi @flyinggoatman,

Welcome to the EE Community

I am really sorry you have been left frustrated by the sign up process, I can understand wanting to make sure everything is correct before inputting any information for the credit check.

The other category is designed to cover any employment status not covered by the other options, for employment date if you do receive income I would recommend using the date that started. Then with the information on your income level, residence history, bank details and personal details, that is sufficient for us to check the information with credit agencies for the credit check.

If it is a perk discount code you do have, they can only be redeemed online, but you should be able to complete your order online using that option above. We do appreciate you sharing your feedback on the sign up process, please let us know how you get on.

If you do have any questions specifically about the finance side of things using that link provided in the previous reply is a good option to ask our finance team.

I'm having the exact same issue. I'm disabled, never worked and just want a rolling contract. I can't phone because they can't enter discount codes in their system apparently.

Hi @flyinggoatman

You can send a request to EE finance here: https://help.eefinance.co.uk/hc/en-gb/requests/new?ticket_form_id=9528981885852

That might help. Credit is subject to status and terms and conditions.

Thanks
