I would like to get iPhone 14 Pro as an upgrade. Because there's at least a month long delivery time I was advised in a shop to preorder the handset  but without any specific plan. Once it is delevered to the shop where I ordered it, will I be able to choose from the same whole range of plans (NOT SIM ONLY), including the 20% reduction for upgrades? Will the deposit be returned to me or credited to my account if I choose a plan with £0 upfront cost?

@BibianaMorgiana  Doesn’t matter if you order in store or online you’ll still have the same waiting time.    When you pre order in store part of the order will include the tariff as that will determine how much do you have to pay upfront same as when you order online.

  • I was told that I would pay a deposit £25.00 now to preorder the mobile WITHOUT any specific tariff and I would choose the plan only once the handset has been delivered to the shop. I myself was surprised that the order would not include a tariff.

I would recommend discussing this in store so that they can explain again what the process is and double check your order.
