Pin issue when delivered to store

Ive ordered a new phone for store collection due to working late, had a txt saying was being delivered to store today with a time slot, I had some time off work as i had a doctor's appointment so thought I'd collect whilst was at it as is round the corner, just before I got there I had a text message saying that DPD couldn't deliver it as no code provided, I went to thw store to ask someone as i was under rhe impression I didnf need a code for store deliveries to be told that the dpd driver refused to drop parcel off without a code. Said couldn't help me any further so I decided to ring cs.

Spoke to someone who said there is no option for a code his end but he can re arrange delivery (which I've done for Friday) to the same store. Now just worried going have the same issue and unsure what I can do other then get to the store my self and wait around until delivery so I can personally give code which makes delivery to store kind of pointless. Anyone else had the same issue with DPD and pins? Hoping it's just a 1 off and just a fault from the driver

I know, I've managed sort and get to bottom of it, looks like an error on EE side. In original order  email after re checking the delivery info it states home delivery instead of store delivery and then got the store address.

Done a new order and the order email on that one is correct and states store delivery with store address must of Been a glitch on ordering for some reason hopefully this one gets delivered to store with no issues

@Jay385  A store delivery shouldn’t need a pin as that’s only for home deliveries

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

I know exactly, tbf last time I ordered I got sent a pin via txt but got delivered to store fine, this time DPD refused to leave it at store so hoping just a mistake by the dpd delivery driver as the person I spoke to in the store said shouldn't need a pin but then couldn't help any more then saying it'll be returned to warehouse, managed to get cs to re arrange delivery but just hoping same thing doesn't happen again

Hey there @Jay385!

Welcome back to the Community!

Like @Chris_B mentioned, deliveries to store should definitely not require a PIN, so it sounds like something wasn't quite right with the original order.

Fingers crossed the new order will have been done correctly, but please keep us posted on how things go!

Hi Peter

I ordered online, it was cancelled by EE. I spoke to a phone salesperson who sorted it and said it would be delivered to store. The price went up on phone from £89 to £113pcm and I have to keep that order as I was getting the promotional Black Friday Samsung with a tablet.

i cannot and will not place a new order because this is ridiculous. Did the person on the phone make a mistake?  My original web order shows delivery to store address the second order with account number has no delivery address on just a message about DPD and a pin. Because it was going to store I assumed I don’t need a pin but checked with the store who agreed.

As it was a Friday when DPD attempted delivery, will they reattempt delivery again?

It says the order is going back to EE but also that I need my pin for the next DPD delivery. It’s confusing. If the order goes back to EE will DPD reattempt delivery?
