Overdue delivery

Ordered a new SIM as part of a new 24 month contract and paid extra for  expedited delivery, but no sign of it five days later. Is it normal to have to wait so long, especially after being told it would arrive the following day?

@Alfiemalfie1  as you probably called customer services to place this order, you are charged for delivery.   That delivery is still 2nd class Royal Mail.   
 Any orders when calling customer services comes with a charge for delivery.
