After several failed attempts and to avoid queueing to speak to someone, I upgraded a SIM only line to a new handset which included a trade-in discount and also an EE One discount due to having EE Broadband.
Received an email confirming the order number and then... nothing - for three days.
Ended up having to call to place the order over the phone all over again - turns out 'the system' won't allow an order to progress with both a trade-in discount and a Broadband discount.
Not entirely sure why online upgrades can't cope with this or why there's no pro-active call back to resolve.

You can only have one discount active on your account you cannot stack discount codes on EE, you'll need to pick which one you want.
