Went through the process of upgrading and when it came to checkout I clicked confirm and was sent to and email verification page, did that and was then sent to the EE home page, there was no confirmation or email/text saying it went through.
Can I just assume that nothing has gone through or is that how it typically works and I should expect a confirmation within a day or so.

Check your junk/spam folders.
If you've received nothing in the next 48 hours then call EE CS on 150.
