Hi. I’ve received my new phone this morning having shared my PAC to retain my existing number and monthly contract unlimited date etc. it has come with a pay as you go so I just wanted to check when the go live date will be to switch phones as I’ve not had an update on that.

thanks

Hi @Samijayne71  You should have been sent your new contract SIM too, with a temporary number? Once you activate the SIM this kicks off the process for EE to port your number, which then takes a few working days, so if you connected today, it may be Thursday when the number ports over, but you can always give EE a call and just ensure the port process has started.

Thanks!
I didn’t know I needed to insert the new SIM first then wait for it to revert my current number. It’s been many years since I switched to a new provider. So I put the SIM in and just follow the instructions?

If you put your new SIM in, you should be able to try out your new phone, use the EE network and it will automatically start the PAC process. You'll see a temporary number that you can use until your old number port completes.

If it's a dual SIM phone, you could put your old SIM in as well, and until it ports over, you'll still get calls on your new device.

You had a monthly contract with your previous provider but now you have gone for PAYG with EE. Is that right? How's that come about?

I got a pac number from old provider and said I wanted to switch to a monthly contract but with my current number. I never asked for pay as you go, no.

Thanks,
I’ll do that again, appreciate it doesn’t happen immediately. I’ve shifted all my apps etc over but waiting on an important call so will do it after. Appreciated.

So what makes you think you've got PAYG with EE?
