Google Pixel 9 Pro Pre order

bmar

I have signed a contract at EE store on Wednesday 21st and I was made aware that Google Pixel 9 pro will be officially out in stores on 22nd of August. The guy placed a pre order for me and told me the phone should be there either on 22nd or 23rd of August, told me to wait for a message. Its been way over a week since and there is no update, no text, no e-mail. When I check the order status, all it says is that the order is confirmed by EE store. There is no shipment happening. At least let me know how long would it take? Why would the guy in the store tell me it would take up to 2-3 days? Its been over a week (6 working days) I think at least the order would have been dispatched by now. Come on EE, we need more updates! How long will it take to ship to the store?

Hi @bmar Great choice of device there, the new Google Pixel 9 Pro looks like an amazing device! The camera looks next level.

I can imagine you'll be keen to get your hands on the new device, so I'd recommend getting in touch with the store to see if they can give you an update on your order.

As the order status is stating that the order had been confirmed by the store, it should just be a matter of time before they get some stock of the device in.

I ordered mine on Wednesday (28th) she said I’d be waiting two weeks so I’m going to guess you got given false info and yours will be delivered next week.

I just spoke to an advisor at the EE store today, and they said the Pixel 9 Pro will be available from September the 9th. So if you've placed the pre-order, that's probably when you're going to get it, or the day afterwards.

I just wish there was some update on the date. There’s no news at all. The EE merchant mislead me saying the phone is out on 22nd of August. It’s just so so annoying. Never doing any preorders with EE again. Horrible experience. I have no clue how long will I wait. There’s no updates.

I really appreciate your patience with this one, @bmar.

The release schedule for the new Pixel range has been staggered depending on model, so I'm really sorry if this wasn't communicated correctly with you at the point of sale.

We always fulfill all pre-orders as soon as we can on a first come, first served basis, so I'm confident you should see an update soon.

Please keep an eye on your texts, and once this is ready we'll let you know.

I've had similar but ordered online. It said 3 working days, the next day I was told to phone to confirm some details. The man on the phone said it would be with me in 1-2 working days, but the tracking info says it hasn't been dispatched and is on back order. I went into a store to ask, they said there's a massive demand for it so it's out of stock in a lot of places and could take up to 28 days!! Can't believe it - why would they tell me it will take 1-3 days if it could take 28, and why not give a heads up

Hi @Emma1721, thanks for sharing your experience here.

We always aim to give you the most up to date delivery estimate you can, but this can vary depending on the model and variant you're looking for.

When was it you placed your order, and what's the exact model of handset, including colour and storage, that you went for?

Peter

The order was placed around midday , 1st October and is the Google Pixel 9 Pro 128GB Porcelain

Thanks @Emma1721, I've had a check of our historic guidance, and it looks like we were estimating 21 days for delivery at the point you ordered this.

This was then extended to more than 28 days on the 2nd of October, then reduced to within 28 days on the 4th.

I'm really sorry if you've been advised differently; the timescales for this version of the Pro XL are closer to what you were advised previously, so there's a chance this could have been a few crossed wires.
