Delayed iPhone 14 Pro Max

I am aware of the issues in China and the knock-on effect that is having on phone companies but having ordered an iPhone 14 Pro Max on 8th Nov (5 weeks ago) and the annoying text messages I keep receiving from EE every week since saying, "Good News, your order is coming soon"!  but with no further updates is starting to be a little frustrating. Having phoned EE I am told that they cannot update me because the distribution information is not available. It is disappointing that one part of the company (distribution) is not talking to the other (customer services). EE must know the number of units they are receiving each week from Apple and distributing to customers and therefore be able to give an estimate to those customers still waiting.

EE, this is a very disappointing service from a company that has been voted the number one phone network for so long, please talk to your customers and give them clear updates, information and expected delivery timeframes.

@oreed  What device types EE receive in one delivery will not be the same in the next delivery.  And the quantity of each device type will change.  How do EE give you even a rough ETA when they don’t know what they get and when.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks for clarifying the chaotic system. So no, if EE doesn't even know how many units they are receiving, then of course, they can't give me an ETA. However, based on the average numbers they receive in a given period over the past number of weeks, they could give a suggested approximation rather than nothing or sending me the... "Good News, your order is coming soon"!  text, but without any timeframe or follow up.
