Just to reinforce, since I have seen MANY complaints about the same problem, this PIN issue with DPD Delivery is ridiculous. Some people do not have a device to receive it which is a way worse, however I have an old tablet where I am actually receiving calls and SMS, but nothing from DPD unfortunately. They do not send it, I try to log on their website/app and I can't because they 'send' a SMS to confirm it is me and AGAIN I get nothing from them. So I call the depot asking for collect my parcel - which is very important to me - and they cannot do it without the freaking PIN!!!!! This is absolutely outrageous!
We buy, pay, expect for something and we can not have it because others issues. Very disappointing.

There is defo an issue with this system as I’m currently going through the same issue. The fault has to be on dpd side as I can’t even verify the app with my phone number yet I receive all text messages as normal from everyone else. I’m now on two failed delivery attempts because of this and the third is due tomorrow but with a change that I get my pin as email only this time. Fingers crossed it works but after reading this thread don’t think it’s gonna work. Also forgot add telephone number and email are correct on ee systems and the partial that dpd show I can tell that’s my details

Hey! My problem was sorted out and apparently the issue is with EE unfortunately. I called them after the problem with the DPD driver and just then they scheduled my deliver on their system, after that everything worked smoothly.
so my advice is call them (EE) and check your delivery with them.
I wish you a good luck as it is a pain.

So I’ve been using an iPhone for the past couple of months and my partner is using Android as I’ve not been able to get the verification text for the dpd app I thought I would try it on my partners phone and see what happens. Text came through so was able to create an account for her. Cause I still had my old phone which is Android thought let me give it a try I’ve now managed to be verified and can now see my previous orders and the one coming tomorrow with their pins. Question now is, is it apple causing the issue? Going to leave my sim in my old phone tonight and see if I get the text from dpd in the morning

So this morning checked my phone and there it was a text from dpd with my pin and time slot and now parcel delivered. Hope this helps anyone that’s been in this situation I’ve also got a call back with ee to see if I had any issues

I'm having to leave EE over this issue. I've had multiple delivery attempts but the DPD code isn't coming through despite other text messages making it through instantly. DPD blames EE, and EE blames DPD. Someone from retentions actually told me they, and I quote, "don't have the time to do that" when I suggested they ring DPD and sort it out because as a customer I can't do anything more.
The DPD app trick didn't work for me (no incoming parcels showing), and DPD confirmed that EE only authorise the PIN to be sent via text message (not email as well, like most other suppliers). So after a week of trying, I am now forced to move network as my old phone died and I'm desperate for a new one - I'm borrowing one at the moment. It's been the worst buying experience I've had in years and after hours of phone calls I can honestly tell you they don't care at all.

They are unable to get this sorted. The DPD driver told me this happens a lot with EE. He re-sent the code from his PDA, but it didn't arrive. He told me that what normally happens is people call EE, EE chase it up with DPD, and in a few days something's sorted, e.g. the removal of the PIN Code requirement and a switch to ID/Passport. I was unable to get anyone willing to make that call to DPD. It's either "against company policy" or, as one had the nerve to say, "we don't have the time". I've cancelled now.

6 months later and I'm dealing with this problem. DPD have apparently sent the pin to the phone number attached to my Pixel Watch. That number doesn't receive messages. The only correspondence I have from EE is the order confirmation email, so even if I wanted to jump through all the extra hoops you laid out, I don't have a tracking number. I didn't even know the watch was coming today until the driver knocked on my door.
Thousands of people may get their phones and watches using this system, but this specific issue is a very clear and blatant failure of the system. And one that should be easily avoidable.

@beagrie If you've got an email try downloading the DPD app & put in the email address it should then pull through deliveries associated with it & show it
