Complaint on length of contract

Tried to purchase a laptop on an add to plan; over 12 months; was advised on the phone that the particular laptop was not available, but could price match with a better laptop; Great no brainer!   However what wasn't explained or what was not in the paperwork was that it was now done over 24 months;  EE have now reviewed the call and agreed that the agent did not make me aware that it would be over 24months but we are now outside the return period and all they can do is offer a 10% discount?   They are looking into the option of just cancelling but we have had the laptop for 8 weeks now; surly if everything was agreed this is now legally binding to 12 months ??

Once this has been looked into and a resolution has been agreed, the agent will contact you to let you know the next steps for the laptop contract.

The problem is they have now listened to the conversation and made the resolution ; they made a mistake they are sorry  and now I have got to pay for it over 2 years but they can give me a 10% discount
