Hi, I ordered some headphones 2 hours ago and I’d like to cancel my order, but the option is not there in the app?
they are showing as preparing to dispatch, so they have not been sent yet.

I would suggest you speak to customer service about that, they may be able to halt it, otherwise you will have to return them if you do not wish to have them, once you have received them, you do have 14 days cooling off period.

Is it because of the status that they’re preparing to dispatch that I can’t cancel it myself?
customer service says they can’t cancel and that the only option is to return or refuse delivery. I understand that it’s not possible to cancel if they’ve been shipped, but I don’t understand what is preventing it now. Thanks 🙂

If our team has advised that they're unable to cancel the order, this usually means things have progressed too far and no changes can be made. You'll still have the option to refuse the delivery or cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, as @Schockwave has mentioned above.
