Tnt sports Ultimate on discovery app

Hi new EE customer here and I have chosen tnt sports as my add on. Currently watching the FA CUP live which is broadcast on the ultimate 4k channel but I can't find this anywhere on the discovery plus app it only shows up on tnt sports 1.

I have the app on my lg g4 4k TV and when I search UHD it only displays previous programmes nothing live.

What am I missing or doing wrong?? Please help.

Hi @mE8419,

When accessing TNT Sports via the Discovery+ app when an event is being broadcast on TNT Sports Ultimate there will be two listings/streams available to select to view in the app. It sounds like you would have been looking in the right place.

Just to check if you go to the Sports>Football>Upcoming section in the app now, the next event broadcast on Ultimate is the UEFA Super Cup, do you see the two separate listings for that?

the discovery+ app can be very challenging to find content as you are experiencing.

A search for UHD (within) the app appears only to provide  ondemand UHD programmes so I suspect your search  for the string "UHD" yesterday probably simply  returned grand slam tennis finals and rugby matches from previous months.

Only some of the discovery+ apps provide a TV Guide and where this is provided TNT Sport Ultimate is not considered as a channel so you won't see it listed there and will need to look for the stream by another route.

On some platforms the discovery+ has a specific sports schedule available  within the app Sports > Schedule  and then the date ..

Seperate issue

Generally the full UHD replay should be made available on discovery+ ... as of this moment I can only see the TNT Sports 1 replay listed on discovery+. Has the policy changed this season or is there another reason that it is late appearing.

I have just taken a look and yes on the mobile discovery plus app AND the app on my lg g4 TV it gives me the upcoming game with both options including tnt sports ultimate.

I don't know why the community shield wasn't streamed under ultimate channel on the app as on my sky q box is was showing under the ultimate channel that's why I was looking for it.

Correct when I type in UHD all I got was previous months content which was tennis and rugby nothing live nor in the future.

The community shield was live on ultimate as on my sky q box it showed it there so I don't know why it wasn't an option in the direct app. I don't see the ultimate channel under TV guide in the app either only channels tnt sports 1-4.

How do you stream tnt ultimate direct on the app?

Don't  worry it should be reasonably  easy to find after 7pm on Wed  when the broadcast starts.  As the  apps on different devices differ and they choose to  promote certain  streams more prominently  I will describe  what I expect you will see.

Typically  if you from the home screen select sports then  below the prominently featured stream  you should see  Live and Upcoming and  a carousel  of programs typically listed in order of their start time. For the super cup there will be a tnt sports 1  stream and a UHD stream identified  by UHD in the top left hand corner .

I will post a couple  of images which will need  approval before they will be visible to you

I have now seen exactly what your images show as in showing 2 streams with UHD in the top corner. Maybe it needed time to kick in fully on the app. 

Upcoming football there is a European competition includes Barca and the app doesn't show any games in UHD which I'm sure some would be. Still confused as to why the community shield was in UHD but not available on the app.

Least I can now watch some games in UHD thankfully 😁
