Changing back to tnt sports on add on, shows activated but does not work

Yes, I re-installed Discovery+.
I have not tried using the phone on mobile data. Not promising because we have superfast broadband on fibre to the property and a not very brillian mobile phone signal.
I managed to get some football yesterday, but only after switching the phone on and off a couple of times and then doing the same to the router - frustrating and inconvenient.
It used to be easy, but that is no longer the case. Just as bad (but not really an EE problem), my EE add-on subscription provides for TNT to the phone with 'big screen' i.e. casting to my TV. That no longer works. I get the 'cast' symbol on the phone (when the struggle to get TNT on the phone has finally been successful) but 'Airplay' on my Sony Bravia TV, which facilitated the casting, has decided that it is now exclusively for Apple phones and no longer works with my Samsung Android. Grrr!

@kernowhoop Give mobile data a chance when you can just to help rule the Wi-Fi out as a cause. Is it still only live content that has the issue, catch up content plays fine?
Are you getting any kind of error when trying to view the live content or is it just constantly loading?
Do you have another phone in the house and if so have you tried testing viewing on that one? Or any other devices such as a computer?
With regards to the big screen, if your Sony TV has Android TV OS 5 or newer you should be able to download Discovery+ as an app directly to your TV rather than cast from your phone. That would also help for testing if its only the phone that has the issue.
You can find a full list of compatible devices for the Discovery+ app to see if you have any other alternatives to use for the big screen such as a Firestick or Games console discovery+ | You can stream discovery+ on phones, tablets, computers, TVs, streaming players, set-to...

Hello Alex
Thank you.
I have just tried to watch a minute or two of a downloaded drama on Discovery+ using the phone signal, rather than the wifi connected to the broadband. It worked. I could try that on the next occasion when I want to watch live sport. It seems odd, though, when I have strong broadband.
I do not have another phone on which to make a comparison. My add-on deal with EE allows me to receive only on my phone and not a computer. It also allows 'big screen' which, when it works, I enjoy through casting.
I have Discovery+ on my Sony Bravia TV and I can watch Discovery+ channels as part of my Sky subscription. But, this does not include TNT Sport, which requires a further subscription. So, I watch TNT Sport (at least, I try to) on my phone where it is part of my EE deal (see above). If I download Discovery+ as an app on the TV, I think that TNT Sport will 'know' that it is not my phone (?).
I shall try everything again next week, when the live Champions League football returns.
