Just taken out bt broadband, how long until i get the perks on mobile?

I've just taken out bt broadband halo 3, will this get me double data or a discount on my bill? If so how long do I have to have it before it activates?

In the find out more about halo WiFi section it says this 

As a BT Halo customer, you'll be able to get double mobile data when you join EE mobile. Plus you'll get 10% off your EE mobile plan every month.
