Hi,

I signed a contract yesterday for 24 months with EE. An iphone pro. Since I have changed my mind because the coverage is poor at my home, even though it states 3 bars coverage. I also travel with work and concerned... I have a second home in Portugal and am aware that roaming is not free with EE.

I am within the 14 cooling period when signing this contract - Consumer Contracts 2013. I therefore want to terminate this contract within 24 hours and return my phone.

The EE shop are reluctant to do this and asked that i contact customer services. I did so over the phone however there is no one to take my call.

There is no store manager until Monday

What steps do I need to take now as I want to get this sorted today. I am out of the country Monday

Hi @DawnS1

Sorry the community have no access to accounts, you can find ways to contact our customer care team here.

If you bought your device in one of our stores and you’re experiencing coverage issues, please bring your device back to us within the first 14 days of your contract starting. Full details can be found in our returns policy.

You purchased from a store so the consumer act doesn't come into play.

There is no 14 day cooling off period for store purchases anywhere. Some companies allow this still but they don't have to. EE are within their right to not allow you to return it for change of mind.

You can't now come back and say roaming is not free. You should have done your homework before purchasing.

Is there any issues reported at your home address? This could be why the signal is currently poor. Travelling for work will allow you to access the network from different area. EE covers the most in the UK but no network guarantees 100% coverage.
