I can see an xbox controller I want to buy and the price but need to login to proceed. I have created an account and gone to the community page but still I am not given the option to uy the device. It seems to have tricked me into registering.
Seems like Phishing so far.

Do you already have a mobile phone or SIM contract with EE? You cannot buy an accessory online unless you already have a mobile phone or SIM contract from EE. You are expected to pay for it along with your existing EE mobile plan. That's why it's telling you to login to upgrade your existing plan or add another device. You have neither of these.
