@Kirsty0888 It’s down to you to make that claim the offer isn’t from EE and EE don’t send you information on any free gift that you claim for from the manufacturer. EE did their part by advertising the free gift offer, it you looked at this online when you upgraded it would have had a link about how to claim the free gift.
