Hey, I've got a family and friends discount which has been confirmed as being valid by the EE member of staff who gave it to me however when trying to use it online it says it's invalid and when I've ordered my phone online I was told the discount code was invalid. It was only generated on 26/06/2023 and is valid until 2030 so no issues there. I've tried clearing cache, history etc but it's still doesn't work when trying it online so I'm genuinely at a loss and after some advice as the code is now seemingly wasted and I can't benefit from the discount on a new contract I've just purchased

@Vyking2810 if you’ve already purchased a contract  you need to call customer services and given them this code.   You have 6 months to have this code add d to your account.   You can not add if after you have made the purchase.

Hey Chris, thanks for the response.

I gave the code to the gent I was speaking to when I ordered the phone, is it still worth ringing CS and trying the code again with them once I receive the device?

@Vyking2810   So you ordered online and gave code and now you’re trying to use the code again?  It will say it’s invalid as it’s been used.

No sorry I tried placing the order online with the code and it said invalid so cancelled the order.

I checked on the forum and it suggested I would possibly have better luck placing my order over the phone instead which I have now done but the gent I spoke to and gave the code to said it was invalid.

In short the only order that has been placed successfully but without the discount is the one over the phone. Apologies once more for the confusion

I would recommend asking the employee who provided you with the discount code to check this with the discounts team. 

Our customer care team will not be able to proceed unless the code shows as valid.

I’ve had the same problem pretty much every time I’ve upgrade for as long as I can remember.  Website doesn’t accept code. And when you ring the system thinks the code has been used. CS usually sort eventually but can’t offer the same deals as available on line (e.g good as new handset) so always costs more
