Flex plan question

I wanted to ask, with the new flex plan. Does having a 30% friends and family discount then only apply to the contract side and not the phone side of the contract, or would the discount still apply to the combined price of the phone and contract.

Friends & Family discounts apply to the airtime element of FlexPay, but not the device finance.
