Can't buy NReal Air

I'm not a EE client. However, the website clearly states that I should be able to buy them from a store.Screenshot 2022-06-06 015533.png

I've gone to two different ones in my city and both said that the order NEEDS to be done online, even after I say I'm not a client. I'm confused? I really want to get these but I've run into wall after wall.

Hello Ray!

I'm having the same issue.

I'm not allowed to purchase the glasses.

However, I own a pay as you go SIM

is this a bug or just keeping us out? thank you.

@psoparra  You can not purchase from the add to plan store unless you a contract customer and are within the first 17 months of that contract.

You can purchase these out right from any EE store and you don’t need to be on a contract or a customer of EE to purchase outright.

The solution on this thread is correct and wrong at the same time.  You can purchase without being an EE customer but you can not purchase from the add to plan or Accessory store you need to go to an actual EE store to purchase outright

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@psoparra : As said earlier you need to already have a contract mobile or SIM before you can buy from the Accessories Store. PAYG is not a contract.

Hi again ray.

On the store site it says: "If you’re currently not an EE customer, you can still purchase the Nreal Air AR Glasses through one of our retail stores."

Wouldn't this mean that I should be able to go up to an EE store and just buy them?

I tried going to one yesterday but they said I had to buy them through the site. I'm very confused. While I am planning to switch, I shouldn't need to just to buy a piece of hardware. Thank you.

@psoparra   You can purchase these outright from any EE store.

“How much are the glasses and where can I buy them?

Nreal Air AR Glasses cost £399.99. If you’re an EE customer, you may be eligible to add the glasses to your current plan and spread the cost over 11 months. If you’re not currently an EE customer, you can still purchase the glasses through one of our retail stores”

looks like you need to show the store THIS web page as that is where the above was taken from.

Hi @psoparra.

The information on the website is correct, if you aren't an EE customer you need to go to a store.

This is subject to stock being available in a store.

@gunny2k9  no need to buy EE sim, you could go to any of the following stores and buy the device.

Not an EE problem nreal have restricted where you can get it from.

In theory you can order from any EE store, but not many may know how.

Hi,

I'm curious about the list of stores. Do I just pop at the store and get out from it with the glasses or do I need to make the reservation at that store and then wait for the glasses to arrive?

I'm planning to go to London (I live abroad) for a couple of days and I'm thinking about buying them but if I need to book them in advance then I would need to phone them at least a week earlier...
