Birthday Marketing Text

Hi,

I’ve received a text offering me a discount on tech purchased through EE for my birthday.

Is this a scam? I have contacted EE by phone today who have assured me they didn’t send this text but if so then this is concerning as it appears as though the texts from this contact are being mixed with legitimate texts from EE.

Thanks

Looks real to me. Type in the URL manually if you want to be sure, as long as it's EE.co.uk then it's EE.

not surprised the call handlers don't know every sales offer for the EE store either.

Thanks for your reply, my belief was that it was genuine and the link does take you to the tech section of the ee.co.uk website. This made it surprising when I was told that it wasn’t sent by ee.

I’d suggested that to the call handlers as well that it may be the case that marketing texts were handled separately but this was dismissed.

Is there a department I can call regarding these types of offers?
