Hi all,
Hoping you can keep me right (actually, I know you can, hence posting 😁)
So a friend of mine is a sports fan. Used to have the full package from BT, landline, mobile and BT Sport.
Slowly encouraged them across to EE. First for the mobile packages and then earlier this year for the landline (they went for SOGEA) and have never looked back.
All except, they used to pay BT for BT Sport over the Sky platform. Was cheap enough when they were BT customers but going back and getting it as a stand alone product is quite expensive.
They're looking to get it back and it's time to upgrade one of the SIM only's they have on the acct. I've looked and can see BT Sport Ultimate as a Smart Benefit so thinking it would make sense to upgrade and take that as a smart benefit. It then mentions paying an extra £5 to watch on multiple devices.
I'm working on the theory that by doing this, they'd be able to watch BT TV on their TV but just wanting someone to talk me through how it all works as I'll no doubt have to set it up. Is it via an app on the smart TV or will we need some extra equipment in order to make this happen?
Thanks as always in advance for the input.
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @_MrR_,
With the large screen add on, they'll be able to cast BT Sport to their TV via Apple TV or Google Chromecast. Alternatively, they can download the BT Sport app on one of the below devices.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for posting.
If you text SPORT to 150, do you get the option to upgrade to large screen access?
If not, please call us on 150 the team will be happy to help.

I have just bought a new SIM package inc. B T Sport also including an extra £5 per month to cast to TV. I have an LG OLED and I cannot work out how to cast BT sport to it. Anyone can help please ?

Hi @Spencer66.
When BT Sport is playing on your phone, you should have a casting option in the top corner of your screen when an eligible device is picked up.
If you don't have this option, I'd recommend contacting our Tech Care team.
