Activating Apple TV+

Hello, I have recently joined EE and took up the Apple TV+ offer of 6 months. I have so far received nothing to activate it, log into it, start it, but my expiry date is running?!?!

 

The website states it is an 'active' add-on but I have not registered anything and each time I go to the Apple TV app, it is as if my EE is non-existent. 

 

This appears a common problem with a number of posts but I can't find the actual solution to my problem, if anyone can help?

Did you not receive a text message from us after you activated the add-on?

No.

 

I have also gone through previous posts and tried PICK, TV PLUS AND ATV.

 

One said I am not on a smart plan (this is incorrect)

The second and third said my Apple TV runs out in October (I'd like to see it start).

I'd recommend speaking to our Mobile Care team so they can look into this for you.

Got through to Anshul on 150. Took a while, checked VPN, browser settings, wi-fi etc. Eventually sent a link from EE and registered my Apple account on the link. Now up and running. My advice for future people with the problem is to ring 150 and get a link.

 

When I asked what the problem was Anshul said

 

'Apple TV + registration was required with your EE account. The issue has now been resolved'.

 

All now sorted, hope this helps someone in the future.

I've also tried setting up the 6 month trial. The link in the app doesn't work so I spoke with a "guide" who was eventually able to do it manually. I was told that I would receive a message with an activation link but so far this has failed to arrive.

I have had other issues and now regret moving to EE
