Thanks @Fat8, we don't conduct any form of sales or service over WhatsApp, so this has definitely been fraudulent.
Please do not correspond with them any further, and please do not send the equipment back to any address they may have told you of.
If you already have an EE online account, you can head over to our login page, and reset your password here via the 'forgotten password' option after inserting your email address.
I would also recommend contacting our customer care team right away, and they will be able to log the fraudulent transaction and also help arrange the correct return of the equipment.

Morning @Fat8
Thanks for coming to the community.
I'm not aware of any free gifts for an iPhone, and this does sound like a scam call.
So I can check for you, which number called you? Do you have an EE account at the moment?
If you provided any passwords please change these to stay safe and contact your bank if any payment details were provided.
For full information, please see our Avoid Scams page for helpful advice on scams.

In the absence of other information, it sounds potentially fraudulent. If they are asking you to return with a QR code, they may be trying to get you send this device to a different place so they can get their hands on it.
Please read this article here and get in touch with EE Customer Services as soon as possible.

@Fat8 someone’s ordered a device in your name and now wants you to post it to them. This isnt EE. You need to EE customer support about this asap. You’ll be liable for the payment of this device if you’re not careful. EE don’t give any free iPhones to anyone as a gift.
You need to change your EE account password asap.

Hi again @Fat8.
As @Leanne_T mentioned, we don't do any sort of free gift involving iPhones or iPads, so this definitely sounds like potential fraudulent activity.
Can you please let us know what number exactly called here, and whether you are an existing customer with us?
Just as a heads up too, I've merged your two threads together as these were about the same topic, please try and keep everything in one place 😊
