Hello,
I’m on a 5G Smart SIM 200gb plan paying about £28 a month and I’m quite happy with it.
however my iPhone X is getting long in the tooth now (had it about 4.5 yrs) and I want to change my phone.
I intend to buy an iPhone 13 outright from another retailer (probably John Lewis). I’ll then trade my old iPhone X in.
I think my plan is SIM only but I’m not quite sure whether my old phone is tied to the contract somehow. can I simply plug my EE SIM card in to the new phone and retain my existing plan with no issues, or is my plan somehow tied to the iPhone X?
thanks

You can use your EE SIM in any compatible device that's not network-locked - it's not tied to any specific phone.
By "compatible device" I mean a device that has physically the same size SIM.
Apple support lists both the iPhone X & iPhone 13 as using Nano-size SIMs.
