30% Friends and Family discount does not work

Hi - I tried to add the friends and family 30% discount code  but its  says 'code invalid' when applied in the promo code.  This is for an upgrade to existing sim only EE plan. Plan selected is not already discounted.  I've tried 150 EE Customer Team but they are unable to help and directed me to the chat function online. HELP !!

@Yahyap   Where did you get the cold from ?  Who ever gave you that code are they still eligible to give a friends and family discount code? 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
