Hi, I've had a look through the forums previous to writing this and haven't found any useful info(yes i've tried the different SIM trays, retstarting the phone etc etc)....
Basically I've upgraded my phone. I've been sent a new SIM, I've decided that in the interim of using the device while the SIM's get swapped over I've put them both into the phone however both SIM's give me the same "not registered on network" problem even after the 24hrs of waiting for the switchover. Yes, I've tried the SIM's in different trays, yes i've tried using one at a time. I live remotely so the closest store is at least an hour's drive so that will be my last resort I suppose... Due to the phone knowing it's got 2 SIM's in it I don't believe this to be a phone issue, any guidance?
Cheers.

So in normal circumstances you just continue using your existing working SIM in a new phone.
If you have requested a change of SIM, then at some point your current SIM stops working and the new SIM takes over. You shouldn't lose service for anything longer than a few minutes when the changeover occurs - certainly not an outright 24hours outage.
If your old SIM has stopped working, but the new SIM hasn't been activated, something has gone wrong. You should contact EE-CS from another working phone on 07953 966150 to enquire as to specifics.
The worst case scenario will be a new SIM being issued either by post or collection from an EE retail store. The best case is that a problem with the SIM swap is identified and resolved remotely.

@EdgarDelCastill : As you've upgraded you should be able to continue using the old SIM. A new SIM is sent out just in case.

Hi, I wasn't aware of that however the process was already started to change the SIM's over so I assume i'm just unable to use the device until it's completed?

Your new phone will work with any functioning SIM.
It's your decision whether you put your existing SIM in the new phone in the interim, waiting for them to stop working before then swapping to the new SIM. Or just wait for your existing SIM in old phone to stop working, before then powering up your new phone with new SIM.

Hi I'm not sure I understand, when trying to dial 150 for example with either sim i receive "not registered on network" error. I did start the SIM changeover process yesterday which advised I wouldn't have service for 24hrs while the change occurred but it has been 24hrs since then, in both devices neither SIM allows me to network coverage.
