phone not working ee uncontactable

I am trying to call out from my phone, I get a " "not registered on network" message. If someone calls that number they are not connected and a message says " this number is unavailable" or words to that effect.

Its also the number I use for all my banking 😞

I have another ee phone, I have on numerous occasions called 150 but the only option available is that daft message that tells me a text message will be sent to me.  When it arrives and I click on it I get a message saying something has gone wrong and to make a phone call. When I make the call then its back to option 1 and the same text sent to me that does nothing.

I am in a bit of a panic here. Any suggestions?

Hi @QWERY

  • What device do you have and where did you get it.
  • Are you on EE PAYG or pay monthly contract.
  • Are you in the UK.
  • Can you connect to the internet.
  • Have you tried restarting your device.

Thanks

Having another EE phone working disproves a network issue. Have you tried restarting the affected phone or toggling flight mode?

If that fails to resolve, swap the SIMs between the 2 phones - this will establish whether the phone or the SIM/account is the issue.

As per my second point - put the non-working SIM in a working phone, and a working SIM into the non-working phone.

See if the problem follows the SIM or remains with the phone.

Yes but the other phone cannot connect to EE but can make calls, so at the moment I have a phone call problem with one device and a contacting EE problem with the 2nd device. So something is going on.

Just walked to the end of the street and tried both phones, they both worked 100%. At my house one works 100% the other one not at all. Never had this happen before. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
