Why can't I make calls from Spain, saying the are "restricted"?

I had  a missed call and someone left a Voice message.

I am trying to access this 22 seconds message and I am getting a message saying  "calls to this number are restricted... phone freephone 470". When I can 470 I get the same message. I have tried other UK numbers and get the same message. 

Nobody seems available from EE as messaging for help has been disabled. 

How do I keep in communication with the UK if my phone doesn't work and I can't speak to anybody in EE?

  • This is what was advised by LeanneT on EE community support team
  •  
  • iPhone > Settings > Mobile Data > Network Selection > Turn off Automatic
  • Android > Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Operators > Tap OK

It has worked for both mine & my husbands phone one is an iPhone & the other a Samsung . We both selected the moviestar network & phones are working perfectly now .
