Received a voicemail recently and deleted the message afterwards but can't get rid of the voicemail options afterwards.

Can you expand on what you mean? After listening to a voicemail, you're given options to save the message or to delete it.

Once deleted, the message is gone.

Yes once I listened to the voicemail I deleted it but the icon showing voicemail is there constantly and only gives me options as to settings of voicemail, there's not an option to delete it.

Call your mobile from another phone & leave a message. Then dial your voicemail from your mobile and delete the message - this usually clears the rogue icon.
