About 2 weeks ago I received a voicemail that I saved but did not delete. After the 7 days it automatically deleted itself but the voicemail notification icon had not disappeared. I went into my voicemails and it said I had no voicemails at all, but the icon remained.
A quick Google search on how to get rid of it took me to Samsung's page (I have a Galaxy S8) and it suggested clearing the data and cache from my call settings, which did get rid of the icon....temporarily.
Again today, the notification and icon showed up but I had no missed calls. I dialled the voicemail which again said I had no messages. My wife suggested leaving a new voicemail so I could listen to it and delete it to see if that "reset" my voicemail.
She called me, waited for voicemail and left a message. I had the missed call notification but not the usual voicemail text. So I called voicemail again but despite me literally hearing her leave a mail, the voicemail said I still had no messages.
Is the voicemail now permanently broken and somehow I am no longer able to receive voicemails just because I saved but did not delete the mail from a couple weeks ago?
Please advise on a fix because I tried to text VM OFF to 150 to turn it off and back on again, but got the reply "We've had a problem with your request, please try again a little later".

Hi @Alangelus
Restarting your device normally fixes the issue.
Thanks

Yeah I'm pretty technically minded so have already tried all the bog standard, bargain basement "fixes" such as 'turn it off and on again'.
