Set up but data roaming not working

Profile closed
Not applicable

My daughter's arrived in Iceland today - she has a phone signal so she can text us but has no data.

She's texted ROAMING to 150, we've paid for a Roaming Pass, her phone is set up to access mobile data but nothing.

All her mates' data is working fine.

EE tech support are closed

Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Hi @Profile closed

Firstly, she should check that ‘data roaming’ is enabled on her phone. It will be in her data settings.

Next, can she try selecting a network manually ? Try all of the available ones until it shows that she has 3G/4G/5G.

Thanks,
Alex

This is good evidence of roaming being active, if your daughter has a local network connection. Did she receive the welcome text message on arrival in Iceland? That would confirm it.

Toggling flight mode and manually selecting alternative local networks is a standard first-check in these scenarios.
